Reel Handling Systems
- Reduces operator fatigue
- Improved roll quality
- Reduces package handling
- Reduces machine down-time
- Unloading to conveyor (option)
- Increases productivity up to 40% (depending on system)
This upgrade is to improve productivity of the slitter rewinder and to reduce the workload of the operator. Finished rewind reels can be moved to an unloading trolley ready for labelling or wrapping, enabling the machine to resume production as quickly as possible.
There are a number of trolley options available depending on the application. Simple trolleys will enable the finished reels to be removed from the rewind shafts and are completely manual. Larger systems can include automation and permit heavier reels. The reel weight varies from 400kg on smaller trolleys to 750kg on the larger units. The maximum reel weight will depend on the width of the roll and width of the machine. Other automated options enable the trolley or unloading booms to rotate away from the machine and rotate the arms from vertical to horizontal, or raise and lower to the ground.
Trolleys can also be supplied which move the finished rewind reels to the next process in the packing or reel handling line.
This upgrade is suitable for the Titan SR3, SR4, SR5, SR6, SR7, SR8 and ER610 models.
Scope of Supply
This upgrade will provide the relevant unloading trolley to suit customers’ specific requirements, together with any reel stripping trolleys or tables as required.
