Atlas CW3600 Series Slitter Rewinder

TheAtlas CW3600 Series of more compact slitting and rewinding solutions is available in web widths from 2500mm (100") to 3600mm (142").

The CW3600 Series slitter rewinder is part of a proven technology platform which delivers higher efficiency, more productivity, higher quality rewind reels, reduced noise levels and more effective operator control systems.

The compact design of this slitter rewinder is harmonised with the larger CW1040 primary slitter rewinder and features an improved web path configuration. The electrical control cabinets are fully integrated inside the slitter, which reduces the space required for installation and removes the need for floor trenches. Control of the CW3600 is managed through touchscreen interface and the latest industrial grade computers and process logic controllers (PLC), including a PLC for the safety systems.

In addition, high efficiency motors, improved hydraulics and a reduction in electrical wiring make the new CW3600 Series a more environmentally friendly slitting and rewinding solution.

One fully integrated HMI master control screen simplifies operation of the machine and is mounted on the machine guard.

In addition, every individually driven roller on each Atlas Machine is powered using high efficiency motors. Improved hydraulics and incorporation of BlueTooth technology provides a reduction in electrical wiring to make the CW3600 Series a more environmentally friendly slitting & rewinding solution.

1 Shaftless Unwind

A Shaftless floor pick-up unwind incorporates either one or two regenerative motors.

2 Tension Control System

CONSISTS OF TWO INDIVIDUALLY DRIVEN ROLLS, ACTING IN A LINEAR MOTION TO PROVIDE OPTIMUM TENSION CONTROL.

3 Web Guidance

A WEB GUIDANCE SYSTEM PROVIDES PRECISION ALIGNMENT OF THE WEB ENTERING THE SLITTING SECTION.

4 Automatic Knife Positioning

Uses the Atlas pick and place system, for setting the knives in groove or in air.

5 Anti-Static Control System

TWO DC PULSE STATIC CONTROL BARS MOUNTED IN THE REWIND SECTION OF THE MACHINE TO REDUCE STATIC CHARGE IN THE INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL REWIND REELS. (TWO ADDITIONAL STATIC CONTROL BARS AVAILABLE AS AN OPTION).

6 Linear Acting Contact Rolls

THE CONTACT ROLL ARMS PROVIDE PRECISE CONTACT CONTROL, WHICH ENABLES HIGHER QUALITY REWIND REELS. CONTACT ROLL PARKING ENABLES REDUCED SET- UP TIME AND INCREASED PRODUCTIVITY.

7 BlueTooth Wireless Rewind Arm Positioning

INDUSTRIAL BLUETOOTH TECHNOLOGY PROVIDES SPEED CONTROL, TENSION AND PRECISE ARM POSITIONING CONTROL.

THIS ELIMINATES THE NEED FOR CONTROL CABLING.

POWER IS PROVIDED BY A DC BUS-BAR LOCATED UNDER THE REWIND BEAMS.

8 Rewind Arms

THREE TYPES OF REWIND ARMS ARE AVAILABLE FOR SLIT WIDTHS AS NARROW AS 200MM WITH HEAVY-DUTY ARMS FOR WIDER REELS AND REWIND DIAMETERS UP TO 1500MM.

A SINGLE DRIVE BELT ON THE REWIND ARM IMPROVES RELIABILITY AND PROVIDES OPTIMUM TORQUE AT CHUCKS.

THE REWIND MOTORS HAVE TORQUE CHARACTERISTICS WHICH INCREASE EFFICIENCY AND PRODUCTIVITY.

9 Control Panels

The electrical control panels are air-conditioned and fully integrated inside the slitter which reduces the space required for installation and reduces the overall machine footprint.
