Atlas CW964 Series Slitter Rewinder

The Atlas CW964 Slitter Rewinder is installed in many film production plants around the world processing BOPP, BOPET, BOPA, CPP and Synthetic Papers.

The web tension control system utilised in the CW964, together with the individual rewind stations, ensure the rewound rolls are of the highest quality.

Using the well proven technology, the CW964 has a fault diagnostic system that can be supported by any of the many Atlas service technicians around the world ensuring that you get the fastest possible fault identification and minimum down time for your production.

1 Shaftless Unwind

A shaftless unwind incorporates regenerative motors for optimum unwind tension control, with edge guidance and optional oscillation

2 Automatic Web Threader

A web threading system is included to reduce the changeover time of the machine. The system grips the web and automatically draws it through the various sections of the slitter.

3 Ultrasonic Web Guidance

A web guidance system provides precision alignment of the web entering the slitting section.

4 Splice Table (Optional)

splice table provides the operator with the ideal environment for perfect fast splicing.

5 Tension Control System

THE UNWIND TENSION IS CONTROLLED BY A DANCER ROLL TENSION CONTROL SYSTEM

6 Edge Puller (Optional)

An edge puller is used to ensure the web is flat and crease-free before entering the knife section.

7 Bowed Roll

A bowed roll is used to ensure that the web is flat and free from creases before entering the knife section.

8 Automatic Knife Positioning

THE SLITTING KNIFE HOLDERS ARE MOUNTED ON A LINEAR RAIL AND ARE POSITIONED automatically.

9 Anti-Static Control System

There are two DC pulse static control bars mounted in the rewind section of the machine to reduce static charge in the internal and external rewind reels. (Two additional static control bars available as an option).

10 Contact Rolls

INDIVIDUAL CONTACT ROLL ARMS PROVIDE MORE PRECISE CONTACT, WHICH ENABLES HIGHER QUALITY REWIND REELS. CONTACT ROLL PARKING ENABLES REDUCED SET-UP TIME AND INCREASED PRODUCTIVITY.

11 Rewind Arms

Individually driven rewind arms optimise rewind tension and final reel quality. Optional heavy-duty arms are available for wider reels and increased rewind diameters.

12 Trim Winder

Individual winder designed to remove and collect the edge trim during slitting machine processes.
