The Senior management team of Atlas Converting Equipment Ltd have decades of experience, not just in slitting and rewinding but in other important areas from engineering, operations and of course slitting & rewinding technology.

Steve is not only the Chairman but also one of the founder shareholders of Atlas. His background is in corporate finance, having qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Deloitte.
He has held senior positions in general management and finance in a number of businesses prior to joining Atlas, including a period as Managing Director of Bobst Group’s UK operations.
Alan has been involved in the design and manufacture of Capital Equipment for the whole of his career. In 1990 Alan moved to Atlas Hurley Moate designing, installing and commissioning their range of Non-Stop Unwind and Rewind systems.
In 2000 Alan moved to Bedfordshire to take over the management of the TITAN business. During this time he oversaw the design and launch of the SR7, SR8 and ER610 models. Alan was appointed Managing Director of Atlas Converting Equipment in 2006 and is one of the four current directors / Owners.
With over 27 years of experience in the Atlas organisation Alan has a breadth of experience and knowledge which he can turn to when leading the company into the future .
Barrie started his career as a Field Service technician in the Newspaper industry . After eight years Barrie moved into his first sales role working with web offset newspapers presses and associated handling equipment . It was at this point that Barrie was introduced to the Atlas group and first Met Alan Johnson who was MD of Atlas Hurley-Moate ltd at the time.
A few short years later Barrie was invited to join Atlas Converting Equipment ltd as a Regional Sales Manager looking after the Titan slitter rewinder products. The Business grew rapidly and as Alan became MD of Atlas, Barrie became Sales Director with Global responsibilities for both the Atlas & Titan product ranges.
Thierry has 25 years of experience in the Packaging Industry. He started his career as a Service Technician installing colour registration equipment on printing presses around the globe.
After 10 years, Thierry moved then to a sales position, selling Capital Equipment in the Converting Industry for several years. in 2010, after completing an Executive MBA, he took over the management of the North and Central American Subsidiary for Atlas Converting Equipment Ltd.
Frank started his career as a quality engineering professional in the automotive industry and with a strong desire to work in a customer facing role, he has since progressed over the years to become the Head of Customer Service in Atlas Converting Equipment Limited.
Frank’s primary driving factors have always been continuous improvement and customer support excellence, and draws motivation from that simple message of, ‘thank you’ from a satisfied customer.
Frank’s current position as head of Customer service is a unique opportunity for him to bring together his quality and service management experience to build a strong team that will grow the business and more importantly deliver world class customer support service.
An experienced and qualified manufacturing engineer with nearly forty year’s experience in production and operations. A keen interest in improvement which has been developed by working with industry leading lean specialists. Quality minded, data driven and motivated by planning and executing production programmes with a pragmatic and hands on approach.
A qualified Mechanical Design Engineer who has been in an R&D Management environment for all of his career, having wide experience in a variety of industries from Construction machinery to Aerospace. This brings experience of “best practice” in design and manufacturing, ensuring products are designed to exceed customer’s expectations.
A strategic, highly commercial finance professional with over 17 years post qualification experience gained across multiple industries. David has a proven track record of leading teams and partnering across all functional business areas. Experienced in all aspects of financial business management and both internal and external reporting.
David has also implemented ISO Quality Standards and initiated process improvements to reduce inefficiency, control costs, drive profit and promote operational efficiency in his previous roles.
